BlackRock and Fidelity currently hold a total of 144,640 BTC worth $6.5 billion in Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

Why do BlackRock and Fidelity Bitcoin Holdings outperform Grayscale?

A recent report released by JPMorgan highlighted that BlackRock and Fidelity’s spot Bitcoin ETFs are already ahead of Grayscale in terms of certain liquidity metrics related to market breadth.

But the report suggests that Grayscale’s funds could lose ground against newly created ETFs, particularly those from BlackRock and Fidelity, if they fail to meaningfully reduce fees.

Interestingly, Grayscale charges the highest fees among spot Bitcoin ETF issuers. Even after reducing the 2% management fee to 1.5% for conversion to a spot Bitcoin ETF, it is still more expensive than its competitors.

Fidelity BTC ETF’s Record Performance

Recent Statistics Look on chain Grayscale observed the smallest outflow in history, showing a loss of 1,708 BTC ($76.9 million). In contrast, eight ETFs added 5,019 BTC ($226 million), with Fidelity adding the lion’s share of 2,951 BTC ($132.9 million).
