Casio celebrates 50th anniversary of launch of NFT collection

Renowned Japanese electronics manufacturer Casio is celebrating its 50th anniversary in style by launching a unique collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) that celebrate the company’s rich history of innovation and technological excellence. Casio collaborated with Astar’s zkEVM to launch a series of NFTs. Casio’s 50th anniversary is being celebrated with its latest innovations, according to a press release. Astar Network also revealed its significant relationship with Casio at X.

Working together to develop scalability is critical to Casio and Astar zkEVM, a strong alliance forged by Astar and Polygon. Asta zkEVMPowered by the Polygon Chain Development Kit (CDK), began leveraging Yoki Origins, a gamified user onboarding experience, a few months ago. Named “Casio: 50 Years of Innovation,” the NFT collection features a selection of iconic products, milestones and achievements from Casio’s illustrious 50-year journey in electronics and consumer technology. From the legendary Casio calculator watches of the 1980s to today’s groundbreaking digital pianos and synthesizers, this collection offers a nostalgic journey through the evolution of Casio’s product lineup.

Yoki Origins will showcase the Casio YoPort capsule machine, among other innovations from the watchmaker. Those interested can choose between two YoPort models made by Casio. The former gives you 1 NFT and the latter gives you 8 NFTs. The artwork for this item will not be available to the public until May 10th, the designated release date.

The Japanese watchmaker has established a strategic relationship with the creator who will design the collection’s digital keepsakes. In particular, the Casio watch NFT series includes eight works by various artists. Each artwork features a classic Casio watch model.
