Detained Binance executive asks prison guards for help in new court footage

Initially, Gambarian and his colleague Nadim Anjarwala (Binance’s Africa regional manager and a Kenyan-British dual citizen) were placed under house arrest. However, when Anjarwala escaped under suspicious circumstances in March, Gambarian was transferred to the notorious Kuje Prison, where he was charged with tax evasion and money laundering. This was seen as a scapegoat for his employer, who Nigerian officials accused of devaluing the national currency, the naira, without evidence.
