Devcon 6 updates and news…

Some time has passed, and new news has arrived.

๐Ÿ‘‹ Itโ€™s happening! ๐Ÿ‘‹

After being cooped up for the past few years, I’m excited to finally say this. Devcon 6 will be held in Bogota, Colombia in the first half of the fourth quarter of 2022. We know that Devcon has a special place in everyone’s heart (and ours too!). We hope to share more information soon (stay tuned!).

In the meantime, Road to Devcon continues with another project we’ve been working on recently.

Meet something a little new

DevConnect The week-long gathering in Amsterdam will feature independent Ethereum events, each with a unique focus. The goal is to focus on depth-first sessions rather than size, bringing the Ethereum community together in small groups to talk and learn or make serious progress on specific topics.

Unlike a typical conference, we want this week-long gathering to foster the in-depth discussions and dialogue needed to continually improve Ethereum. Each discussion on Devconnect is hosted and curated by experts in the field. EF facilitates coordination of experts and teams to ensure they have logistics and production support, and ensures that duplication of similar domains is minimized to avoid pulling builders in different directions.

Most importantly, Devconnect wants you to be more productive! This means that in all our meetings and workshops, we aim to have an audience of experts or people who are very interested in a particular area.

For anyone who comes to town and wants to hang out and work together between sessions, we will maintain a co-working space where everyone interested can collaborate.

What do you get from Build Week?

With all the new challenges facing the world and the opportunities Ethereum embraces, this year EF decided to try something new.

It was great to see a familiar main event returning. Meanwhile, we started building Devconnect as something a little different. The idea for Devcon has expanded and iterated since we got together in Osaka, and while major events like Devcon remain key productive and surprising staples of our ecosystem, it’s important to note that this new type of gathering can be complementary and impactful in a new environment. I hope so. method.

When can I learn more?

If you are interested in hosting a Devconnect event, stretch out one’s hand! We look forward to seeing you together in Amsterdam in April and in Bogota later in 2022. See you again soon.
