divis Laboratories Q3 Earnings Update: Divis Labs Q3 Results: Profits rose 17% year-on-year to Rs 358 crore.

Pharmaceutical major Divis Laboratories on Saturday reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 358 crore for the quarter ended December 2023, up 17% from Rs 306 crore posted in the same period last year.

Operating revenue during the reporting period grew 9% year-on-year to Rs 1,855 crore compared to Rs 1,708 crore in the same period last year.

EBITDA in the third quarter increased 20% year-on-year to 489 million rupees compared to 409 million rupees in the same quarter last year. On the other hand, operating profit margin improved to 26.4%.

Profit before tax (PBT) for the quarter stood at Rs 489 crore compared to PBT of Rs 435 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Materials consumption for this quarter was approximately 39% of sales.

For the nine months ended December 2023, the company earned PAT of Rs 1,062 crore, down 29% year-on-year, compared to Rs 1,502 crore in the same period last year. The company reported total revenue of Rs 5804 crore. 9MFY24 period. Forex gains in the current nine months stood at Rs 32 crore against Rs 134 crore in the previous nine months.

The Company’s Board of Directors has approved the reappointment of Sunaina Singh as Independent Director for a second term of five years, effective March 28, 2024.

The board also approved the appointment of Devendra Rao as additional director, designated as ‘Full-time Director (Manufacturing)’, for a term of five years from February 10.

Total expenses for the third quarter stood at Rs 146.1 billion, up 5% year-on-year. A year ago, the same amount was Rs 1,386 crore.

On Friday, shares of Divis Labs closed 0.8 per cent lower at Rs 3,655 on the NSE.
