Doja Cat’s X Account Hacked to Promote Memecoins
American rapper and singer Doja Cat Becomes Latest Celebrity Victim of X Account Hack The goal is to promote Solana-based Mimecoin.
Her account started posting about cryptocurrencies on July 8th. He urged his 5.6 million followers to “buy $DOJA.” The hacker posted over 20 tweets and deleted the singer’s profile picture and bio.
Doja Cat I addressed this issue on Instagram. She assured her fans that she had no involvement in any cryptocurrency-related posts.

X users were quick to recognize this unusual activity as a hack. Report suspicious posts.
Among the posts, The hacker has mentioned other celebrities, including Iggy Azalea. She showed interest in cryptocurrencies by launching her MOTHER memecoin. Azalea responded to the mention on X’s post, saying:
It’s okay to be rough, but I’m fine with that girl in the real world, so you ruined that tweet, hackers. (deleted)
Despite the hacker’s efforts, the DOJA tokens hosted on Solana market maker Raydium No significant activity occurred compared to similar events in the past. The token has seen over 15,000 transactions, with a trading volume of around $2.24 million.
This hack is problematic. There’s a trend of celebrities’ social media accounts being hacked and used to promote fraudulent cryptocurrency schemes. More recently, the X accounts of actress Sydney Sweeney, rapper 50 Cent, and former wrestler Hulk Hogan were hacked for similar purposes.
The increasing frequency of such incidents highlights the security challenges social media platforms face and the need for enhanced protections, especially for high-profile users.
