Earn interest with Rakuten Cash. It is Japan’s first corporate bond security token capable of electronic currency interest payments.

Introducing corporate bond security tokens (ST) where interest is paid through Rakuten Cash.
Daiwa Securities Group, Daiwa Securities, Rakuten Securities, Rakuten Payments, Mizuho Bank, Mitsubishi UFJ Trust Bank, and Frogmart announced on February 21 that they would cooperate to issue ST corporate bonds that pay interest on the electronic currency ‘Rakuten Cash’. .” Then he announced. It is the first security token in Japan that pays interest as electronic money.
The issue name is “Daiwa Securities Group Co., Ltd. First Unsecured Securities Token Bond (Includes Inter-Bond Paris Pass-Through Provisions and Transfer Restrictions)”, and the nickname is “Daiwa Securities Group Securities Token Bond”.
Total issuance amount: 1 billion yen, amount per unit: 100,000 yen, period: 1 year. Daiwa Securities and Rakuten Securities acquire (broker) and sell to individual investors. Use Promat as a base.
(from launch)
There are two things worth noting about this corporate bond ST.
The first is Rakuten Securities’ entry into the security token market. This is the second large online securities company to enter the market following SBI Securities. Tatsuya Saito, founder and CEO of Frogma, said, “From the perspective of expanding the investor base, it is very important to expand and diversify into channels other than face-to-face securities.”
Second, interest is paid electronically. This time we will use Rakuten Cash, but you can also use other electronic money. In addition to promoting the use of electronic money, the use of specific electronic money in specific “◯◯ economic circles” can surround ST investors with economic circles and encourage them to become fans.
Additionally, if ST determines that it can increase the participation of ST investors in the economy, it will be possible to issue bonds on more favorable terms than existing corporate bonds.
Corporate bond ST has the advantage of being able to identify investor information in real time that is not available in existing corporate bonds, but if it is combined with electronic money, the possibilities will be further expanded.
