Elaboration and scale: How to evolve the mobile market in advance in 2025

The smartphone industry is constantly moving due to the launch of the latest technology, changes in supply chain and mixing world economic factors. These changes not only affect new device sales, but also have a direct impact on the prosperous secondary market, which is rapidly growing in demand for inexpensive and high -quality pre -owned devices.

In this B-STOCK Q & A, we connect with Joe Dube, a mobile account director, to gain views of the current environment of the mobile market, the expected trends in the future, and personal insights in the industry.

If you need to summarize in one word, how would you explain the current status of the pre -owned mobile market? why?

maturity.

The pre -owned mobile market is in a new stage of new sophistication and scale. Stakeholders are now aware of tremendous opportunities in the second market, and we are rapidly developing in the supply, evaluation, and sales of devices. Trade -in programs are increasingly increasing their rating and screening processes, thanks to innovation such as AI drive diagnosis and automatic inspection system, while carriers and OEMs are using data and analysis to optimize price and channel strategies to maximize recovery and minimize risks.

This maturity is clear in the supply chain. It focuses on the improved improvement standards of the pre -owned device and the injuries and sustainability of a program certified by consumer trust. The market is not growing, but all links in the supply chain are more analytical and technology, and focuses on extracting the highest value as possible.

Are data points and trends surprisingly surprised in the first quarter?

The most important trend in Q1 was returning to the top of the market. We observed the standard monthly depreciation rate of 2-4% without major price fluctuations or unexpected shifts. Unlike last year, when the market is abnormally strong, especially in summer, the price of Q1 follows the gradual depreciation pattern, reflecting the more general environment.

What is the best advice/or message for the current OEM and airlines?

My best advice to the OEM and airlines is to truly take the end -to -end approach to the second market. It is not to offer the pre -owned device, but to understand and optimize all the stages of the process. It is essential to partner relationship with the right expert at each stage. Partners’ quality directly affects the recovery value, brand reputation and sustainable ability. Investing in a powerful data -oriented partnership, you can maximize the lifetime value of your device and achieve long -term success in your organization.

You have recently won the “Pros to Know” award. Do you want to share?

I am really honored to be recognized as 2025 PRO to know. This reflects the innovative data-oriented approach that B-STOCK brings to the mobile secondary market and resale ecosystem. The mobile market, which is owned by the pre -owned mobile market surpassed the growth of the first market, and the development of trade -in and resales technology is unique so that wireless carriers and OEMs can maximize value and expand the device life cycle. We can quickly explore mature markets and unlock new opportunities for devices owned by tens of millions of precisons.

What would you say to the young self that begins in this industry?

I will tell myself that no one thinks the largest company has not always been completely optimized. There is always room for improvement, learning and growing. Do not be afraid to ask questions and do not settle down about how things are over. Dig a little deeper to understand why. The curiosity will help you see the opportunity for others to miss as you grow in your career.

What would they be if they had to list five ‘surveillance’ as an industry in 2025?

In the future, I think there are some major trends for forming a pre -owned mobile market. First, the impact of new and proposed tariffs on imported electronics can greatly increase the price from low -level devices and components, especially China, such as China. This can accelerate the transition to more domestic conservatives and repair operations in the United States as the company can control the cost and minimize the interruption of the supply chain. If the tariff raises the price of new and imported devices, the demand for repair services increases and the most value in the device already in distribution can be focused on.

At the same time, the adoption of robotics and AI transforms the way the device is processed, trained and scores. Automated systems are faster and more consistent and more accurate to help improve efficiency and recovery speed. This trend is expected to continue, and robotics will continue to play a bigger role from all stages of the second market to subsidies.

We are also seeing the industry beyond the basic “buff and polish” cosmetics. Now, it is far more focused on the practical repair and comprehensive remuneration led by consumer expectations and sustainability goals. The buyer wants quality and economics, and the seller responds to a certification program that builds higher renovation standards and trust and provides better prices.

Originally, equipment manufacturers or OEMs are also playing a more active role in the second market. They are investing more in trade -in programs, scoring standards and residential channels, and they can maximize the remaining value of the product by managing more processes itself. This is part of the broader industrial maturity because everyone involved is more analytical and strategic about extracting value at all stages.

Finally, consumer demand for pre -owned and refurbished devices continues to increase by environmental problems and the cost of new devices. As the market grows, we can see more innovation in the circulating economic model, and the company has made the crew a key part of the sustainability strategy.
