Can’t travel these days
Miss the people, not the planes
Spadina, not Spain

tl;dr

Spadina’s ‘dress rehearsal’ is just around the corner.

We understand that both engineers and the community could use one more public testnet launch before going live on mainnet. At the same time, we don’t want to disrupt Medalla’s momentum. We have therefore chosen a short dress rehearsal to run parallel to Medalla later this month. illusion Spadina!

Spadina will be a (primarily) mainnet-configured testnet with a 3-day end-of-life (EOL). The main goal is to give us all another opportunity to go through one of the more difficult and risky parts of the process: depositing and creating before reaching the mainnet. If all goes well, you’ll have greater peace of mind before you dive into the real deal later this year.

Should I join Spadina?

If you want to try the latest and greatest iteration of Lauchpad, see if you can take care of key creation and management yourself and set up your favorite client from scratch once again. yes! You must participate.

If you’ve already participated in several testnets, are adept at managing keys and multiple clients from the command line, and regularly write custom system configuration and monitoring tools in your sleep, I’ll leave that up to you. 🙂

Spadina’s lifespan is 3 days. The testnet may remain active for some time thereafter, but client teams, block explorers, and other key infrastructure providers ~ no You must apply for Spadina for at least 3 days.
