Ether Leeum ends support for HOLESKY Testnet by September 2025.

The Ether Reeum Foundation announced plans to phased out the HOLESKY Testnet by September 2025 due to repetitive problems that prevented the upgrade of upgrading upgrades.
In a statement published on March 19, the network confirmed that the new testnet, Hoodi, will take over PECTRA -related tests.
Holzuki problem
HOLESKY had a major problem in last month’s PECTRA upgrade test.
Some execution clients, including Geth, Nethermind, and BESU, have bugs on the execution layer using the wrong deposit contract address. This caused a chain split to weaken network stability.
Another Ether Leeum Test Net, SEPOLIA, faced similar problems because of a custom deposit contract. But it was quickly recovered.
In contrast, HOLESKY suffered from the leakage of non -activity in which complex validation was terminated.
The network has been completed, but it will take almost a year to remove the ended validation. Due to this delay, it was unrealistic to test the lifecycle of a complete validation test within a reasonable period.
The Foundation pointed out that HOLESKY still allows Starkers to test deposits and other PECTRAs, but the outlet queue limits a wide range of tests. As a result, Ether Lee decided to switch the PECTRA test to Hoodi Testnet.
Despite these changes, HOLESKY will remain in the chosen test, including the increase in the gas limit until the support is officially terminated in September 2025.
Convert to Hoodi
Hoodi Testnet acquires the PECTRA upgrade test activated in UTC at EPOCH 2048 on March 26, 2025.
Staying operators and infrastructure providers are expected to migrate validation with this new environment.

Ethereum also announced that SEPOLIA Testnet will stop support by September 2026 in March 2026.
Hoodi is expected to be active until September 2028, and then Ether Lee will stop support.
This update will continue to make an effort to improve the test infrastructure and ensure a softer protocol upgrade.
