Following Trump’s support, left-wing media amplified anti-Bitcoin bias.

The media is abuzz about Trump’s recent support for Bitcoin.

Looking at Bitcoin recognition data (chart below)Coverage of Bitcoin with Trump has increased month over month since the beginning of the year, but there has been quite a stir in the past week as some media outlets appear to be amplifying the already existing anti-Bitcoin bias.

Forbes, Fox, and CNBC covered Trump’s move as a positive step for America’s energy security and economic strength. They highlight how Bitcoin mining can strengthen energy dominance and act as a defense against centralized digital currencies.

Fox News and Forbes, in particular, highlight Bitcoin’s strategic advantages in line with liberal and conservative values.

On the other hand, The Independent and The Washington Post are skeptical.

They suggest that Trump’s support for Bitcoin is a ploy to gain political and financial support. These media outlets point out that Trump, who once ignored Bitcoin, now sees it as an opportunistic flip-flop and supports it.

The polarized media environment makes it difficult for the public to have a balanced perspective. While pro-Trump media focuses on the benefits of Bitcoin, anti-Trump media aims to undermine his motivations, reflecting broader political divisions.

Historically, left-leaning media outlets have criticized Bitcoin primarily for environmental reasons, claiming that Bitcoin mining consumes too much energy and is harmful to the planet.

But now Trump has taken center stage as their main target. These outlets are questioning his motives, seeing his Bitcoin support stance as a calculated political move rather than a true endorsement.
