Formatting an external SSD

2 questions about Bitcoin Core

I formatted the ssd and used exfat. I’m using windows, so it should be ok, right?? Or should I cancel the block download? Should I remove the Core, reformat the drive to NFTS and start over?

Second question I put the default directory on the SSD, which is the E: drive, but the installer still created a folder called Bitcoin in my c:/ Program Files.

I don’t think it’s a big problem. I bought a 2TB Samsung T7 because I wanted the nodes to work without being cluttered.
