In a June 10 blog post, Funko and NFT marketplace platform Droppp.io confirmed plans to launch a new collection of non-fungible tokens this week. Batman is a superhero who appears in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger and first appeared in Detective Comics issue #27 on March 30, 1939. This year, Batman turns 85 years old.

Over the past 20 years, Batman has appeared in a variety of comic book films. In 2022, following the brand’s landmark film The Batman, production company DC Comics entered the Web3 space with a large-scale NFT venture called The Bat Cowl.
