General Motors (NYSE:) announced Monday that it has partnered with EVgo Inc. (NASDAQ:) and Pilot Travel Centers LLC to open the first 17 sites for an electric vehicle (EV) fast charging network across the United States.

Charging station locations can be found in GM’s vehicle brand app, Pilot’s myRewards Plus app, and the dedicated EVgo app.

Ahead of spring 2024, GM and Pilot are eager to offer unique benefits to General Motors drivers. These perks may include the option to reserve charging slots, access to discounted charging services, and more.

“As GM continues to advance its vision of an all-electric future, we are collaborating broadly to accelerate access to convenient charging at home and on the go,” said Wade Sheffer, vice president of GM Energy.

EV charger networks are available in 13 states, and most locations offer 24/7 amenities, including restrooms, food and beverages, and free Wi-Fi.

“EV drivers want a better charging experience and want to have more charging locations along America’s most traveled routes. These new charging locations, and many more to come, will be critical to improving range reliability,” said Pilot CEO Adam Wright.

“As interest in EVs continues to grow, we believe our network can be a catalyst for getting more EV drivers on the road.” Added lights.

Shares of GM were down 0.21% in morning trading Monday morning, while shares of EVGO were up 1.64%.
