Golem (GLM) Project Advances in GPU Provider Beta Test Program

Progress of the GPU Provider Beta Test Program for the Golem (GLM) Project

According to a recent blog post from the Golem Project, the GPU provider beta testing program has made significant progress. Launched on January 29, the program has already achieved several milestones, with valuable feedback from community members playing a key role in the process.

milestones achieved

The beta testing program has so far had over 300 individuals sign up for the waitlist, and 67 have received invitations to participate in beta testing. Multi-GPU support is not yet available, so your selection criteria will depend on whether your machine has a single GPU.

Beta testing sessions saw providers engage with the AI efforts and refine updates and corrections to the documentation with feedback from testers. An additional 17 beta testers were invited using GPUs such as the A6000 A40 and A100.

upcoming steps

The Golem project is currently focused on projects aimed at developing multi-GPU support within the provider. This project is still in the planning stage, and development is expected to take about two months. Once complete, beta testing will resume for participants with at least two GPUs on a single system.

Existing beta testers will continue to receive work. At the same time, the project will conduct demand-side testing with developers and startups and discuss with requestors to better understand their needs. The team will then announce plans to support requesters and invite the Golem community to participate in beta testing of the solutions provided by requestors.

The team has expressed their desire to share exciting developments with the community once multi-GPU support is ready and encourage those interested to join the waitlist.
