(Reuters) – Google (NASDAQ:) on Wednesday launched an AI-based feature in the United States that will allow users to search for images and text simultaneously using their phones.
Samsung Electronics, an Alphabet affiliate, announced at the Samsung Electronics (KS:) Unpacked event that users of smartphones such as the Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, and the new Samsung Galaxy S24 series will be able to use multiple searches using gestures without switching apps starting January 31. . .
Google, headquartered in Mountain View, California, generates most of its revenue from the online search market. It has been competing with Microsoft (NASDAQ:) over the past year in generative artificial intelligence (AI).
The company said that the multi-search feature will be available in conjunction with the Lens camera icon in the Google app for Android and iOS.
