1. Prepare the device

• Connect your miner to your router using a network cable (Ethernet cord). Wi-Fi support is not available in Antminer KA3.

• Next is powering the machine. To power your ASIC miner, you will need two sets of C-13 to C-14 cables. However, these cables are not included with your device and must be ordered separately. You can also purchase it from Amazon.

• Connect that cable to your 230 or 240v PDU.
• Running an ASIC miner requires a decent power infrastructure of around 3000 watts.

• Now connect the two C13 and C14 power cables to the ASIC miner.

• Make sure all plugs are tight and there are no loose connections. Now you are all ready to start your miner.

2. Miner configuration

• The Ethernet light should come on when the power supply is turned on.

• Now we need the IP address of KA3. To obtain the miner’s IP address, you can choose one of the following steps:
  • You can get the miner’s IP address using a free program software called Advance IP Scanner.
  • You can get the IP address by logging into your router.

3. Access KA3 via web browser

• When you enter the IP address in your browser, a window will appear asking for your username and password.

• You can now access the dashboard of Antminer KA3.

4. Check firmware

Next, go to System in the menu and check for firmware upgrades for your KA3 miner.

• Select an algorithm from the dropdown. That is KDA Blake 2S, and the name of the miner is Antminer KA3.
• Please check the firmware publication date. If an upgraded firmware version is available, you can download it.
• You can find the official firmware on the Bitmain site. It is always recommended to use firmware from the manufacturer’s website as it helps prevent viruses and unethical practices.

5. Firmware improvements

• Go to the dashboard of Antminer KA3.
• Select the upgraded firmware you just downloaded. Select the Keep same settings checkbox.

• Click the Update button and wait for the firmware to be upgraded. It will take a few minutes.

• Once complete, you will see a dashboard displaying the updated firmware version.

6. Add mining pool

• Go to the settings page. You will need to add your mining pool, wallet address, and password.

• Select the Kadena mining pool you want to mine. You can select a mining pool by checking miningpoolstats. For example poolflare.net

• Now copy the pool address according to your region.
• Paste it under your mining address on the settings page.
• Next is purchasing the Kadena wallet of your choice.

• Copy and paste it under the miner’s name. Add .Ka3 at the end.

• Enter your desired password and save the page. That’s it. You are now ready to mine Kadena in the mining pool of your choice.

7. Start Kadena mining

• After a few minutes, you can check the status of your mining by checking Antminer’s dashboard. The mining process should start at a maximum hash rate of 166Th/s and approximately 3154W. However, hash rate and power consumption may vary depending on user environment.
