While MRF Ltd. (down -3.97%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (down 2.45%), Apollo Tires Ltd. (down 2.11%), Bosch Ltd. (down 1.89%) and Bharat Forge Ltd. (down 1.74%). ended as the biggest loser of the day.
The Nifty Auto index closed 0.85 per cent lower at 22541.35.
The benchmark NSE Nifty50 index closed 172.36 points lower at 22475.85, while the BSE Sensex closed 732.96 points lower at 73878.15. Of the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 15 ended in green and 35 ended in red. Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, BHEL, NHPC and IFCI were among the most traded stocks on the NSE. Shares of Rane Brake Lin, Arrow Greentech, Oriental Hotels, Univastu India and Hindustan Zinc hit new 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Adroit Infotech (PP), Emami Paper Mil, Ibull Housing Fin (PP), Signpost India and Osia Hyper Retail hits a new 52-week low.
