Indices: Stock Market Update: Nifty IT Index Up 0.73%
Shares of L&T Technology Services Ltd. (up 3.13%), Coforge Ltd. (up 1.92%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (up 1.64%), Tech Mahindra Ltd. (up 1.49%) and MphasiS Ltd. (up 0.64%) ) ended the day with the highest gains in the pack.
On the other hand, Persible Systems Ltd. (down 1.9%), LTIMindtree Ltd. (down 0.65%) and Infosys Ltd. (down 0.15%) were the biggest decliners of the day.
The Nifty IT index closed at 35047.4, up 0.73%.
The benchmark NSE Nifty50 index closed 18.65 points lower at 22434.65, while the BSE Sensex closed 27.09 points lower at 73876.82.
