Indices: Stock Market Updates: Nifty IT Index Up 0.3%
Shares of Persistent Systems Ltd. (up 2.37%), L&T Technology Services Ltd. (up 1.79%), Coforge Ltd. (up 1.47%), LTIMindtree Ltd. (up 1.3%) and MphasiS Ltd. (up 0.78%). ended the day with the highest gains in the pack.
On the other hand, HCL Technologies Ltd. (down 1.24%) and Infosys Ltd. (down 0.02%) were the biggest decliners of the day.
The Nifty IT index closed 0.3 per cent higher at 34846.05.
The benchmark NSE Nifty50 index rose 104.9 points to 21255.05 and the BSE Sensex rose 358.79 points to 70865.1.
Of the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 ended in green and 15 ended in red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Indian Railway Fin, Reliance Power and JP Power were among the most traded stocks on the NSE. Shares of Starteck Finance, Hindcon Chemicals, Vertoz Advertising, Arman Financial and Lokesh Machines hit new 52-week lows in today’s trading, while shares of Bohra Industries, Bajel Projects, Nandani Creation, Flair Writing Indust and Kabra Extrusion hit new 52-week lows. .
