Kochi City partners with START LAND Inc, a Web3 company, to revitalize the region through Metaverse

Planning regional revitalization with Metaverse
Kochi City, Kochi Prefecture, has launched a new initiative to utilize Metaverse with the goal of developing markets for product sales and tourism. In order to promote local revitalization using digital technology, we signed a comprehensive collaboration agreement with Startland Co., Ltd., which operates a virtual space.
On the 7th, a signing ceremony for this agreement was held at Kochi City Hall with city hall employees in attendance. This event was held simultaneously in the Metaverse space with Kochi Mayor Ryūgo Kuwana and Startland Co., Ltd. CEO Kousei in attendance and an agreement was exchanged.
START LAND Inc operates ‘START LAND’, a metaverse community that combines the real and virtual worlds, and has approximately 20,000 users in Japan and overseas. The company also issues non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
