Taproot Release
The first release candidate for v0.21 (v0.21.1rc1) with tabroot support is now available for download25.
I’ve been testing it and everything has been working fine, so now the official release is built and signed. Feel free to test rc1 or wait a few days for the official release (v0.21.1). The official release (v0.21.1) can be downloaded from https://litecoin.org 6 once it has been signed by the developer.
Please report any issues found in the release using github 4.
security fix
As reported last month, security vulnerabilities were discovered that required changes to the non-interactive transaction design, leading to changes to the consensus code as well. All of these changes have been implemented, tested, and documented. 🥳
final review
Next week, I’ll be meeting with other developers every day and going through the code together with a fine-toothed comb. If no serious problems are found, a final MWEB code review is required.
