Rollups-as-a-Service provider Zeeve today announced its partnership with Memento to launch Hyperchain, a new layer 2 solution based on zkSync’s ZK Stack technology.

The newly introduced hyperchain is designed to solve the key issues that have prevented the traditional financial sector from embracing public blockchains: security and customization. By using the zero-knowledge (ZK) proof of zkSync, a state-of-the-art cryptographic method, Hyperchain provides a scalable and secure environment for institutional finance to operate on the blockchain and enable low-cost, scalable transactions that will ultimately settle on the Ethereum network. The goal is to promote

“We look forward to advancing institutional finance together by welcoming the Memento community to our ecosystem,” Zeeve said in a statement.

This initiative is not just a technology upgrade, but a strategic alignment to bridge the gap between traditional finance (TradFi) and DeFi, providing the best of both worlds.

The partnership highlights Hyperchain’s capabilities, including automated setup for compliance and security, management dashboard, essential development tools, and enhanced security features such as DDoS protection and malware defense. These features are geared towards ensuring that the platform is robust and adaptable to the needs of institutional players.

Hyperchain also leverages Zeeve’s infrastructure expertise to enable the transition from proof-of-concept on testnet to full operational functionality on mainnet.

“The launch of Memento’s layer 2 hyperchain is a prudent decision for institutional DeFi operations, where compliance and controlled experimentation meet the power of innovation and decentralized finance,” said Dr. Ravi Chamria, Zeeve Co-Founder and CEO.

Fabrizio Audisio, CTO of Memento, highlighted the potential impact of the project. “Hyperchain will open a new way to integrate traditional and decentralized finance.”

With launch, Hyperchain introduces a compliance-driven environment supported by a dual-layer KYC process to weed out malicious actors and EVM compatibility to ensure seamless integration with existing Ethereum applications. The platform also supports the creation of digitally native assets through applications such as the Domani protocol, significantly enhancing the DeFi environment for institutions.

Zeeve’s proven commitment to security, demonstrated by its strong network of over 40 industry partners and its user base of over 30,000, underlines its position as a trusted global infrastructure provider. This partnership not only marks a pivotal moment for Zeeve and Memento, but also sets the stage for future innovation that will enable traditional financial institutions to safely and effectively participate in the burgeoning world of DeFi.
