Mexico’s stance on cryptocurrencies is unlikely to change with Morena Party’s Claudia Sheinbaum elected president

The results indicate that Mexico’s cryptocurrency policy is likely to continue since Sheinbaum is a member of the ruling Morena party. Her predecessor, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, was constitutionally barred from running again. Although Sheinbaum sympathized with Obrador’s policies, there was little to no mention of cryptocurrencies in Mexico’s biggest election to date.
