Mi Primer Bitcoin Promotes Two Employees to Leadership Roles
The El Salvador-based organization announced the promotion of two employees (Reina Chicas and Quentin Ehrenmann) to leadership positions on the third anniversary of Mi Primer Bitcoin.
Chikas, who is originally from El Salvador and has been with the organization for about two years, has quickly risen from teacher to lead teacher to board member and now director of education. She has been shining since she started working for Mi Primer Bitcoin (MPB), when the organization sent her to Bitcoin Lake in Guatemala for six months to teach in the community. For the past year, she has been Mi Primer Bitcoin’s contact person for communications with the Ministry of Education in El Salvador.
“As a Salvadoran who began this journey as a teacher, I have experienced firsthand the power of education to foster growth and change,” Chicas said in her MPB presentation.
“Through this new opportunity as Education Director, my commitment is stronger than ever to create more empowerment stories with MPB, to be a good example to people in our country and beyond, and to show that with passion, hard work and dedication, we can build a better future,” she added.
Erenmann has been a rising star since joining MPB in 2023, and was recently promoted to General Manager of the organization. For his first project at MPB, he moved to an undeveloped island off the east coast of El Salvador to start an education-focused circular economy. He then moved to the mountainous region of Berlin, El Salvador, to implement education within a local community. He was then promoted to Director of Operations, helping to further develop MPB’s network of independent educator nodes, which now includes teachers in 27 countries.
“From working on a special project on an island in El Salvador to joining the leadership team and contributing to their mission, my journey with Mi Primer Bitcoin has been incredibly rewarding,” Quentin said in a statement from MPB. “I look forward to helping provide independent Bitcoin education to the next 100,000 students.”
