Need an AI personal coach? Google revitalizes health and wellness with Fitbit update.

After the launch of its generative artificial intelligence (AI) models Bard and Gemini, Google (NASDAQ: GOOGL) is keen to add another model to its offering to extend its lead over its competitors.

In an announcement, Google said it is gearing up for the commercial launch of a personal health-based large language model (LLM) tailored specifically for the Fitbit app.

Details about the release are currently scarce, but multiple sources are pointing to various features of the model. Google has made it clear that LLM can collect and interpret data from the Fitbit app instead of providing a diagnosis or treatment to users.

“Fitbit aggregates your personal health and fitness data so you can track it in the Fitbit app,” Google explains. “Our team is now building out personal AI capabilities to deliver even more tailored, personalized insights that can be explored based on your unique needs and preferences.”

While the description limits LLM’s features, insiders with knowledge of the development say the product will be able to provide customized suggestions for sleep patterns and exercise routines.

Other features include natural language input to get information about specific health questions related to Active Zone Minutes (AZM) during exercise or sleep quality. Additionally, LLM may use charts and point functions to present data, and experts predict that it will use histograms and heatmaps to convey information.

Google says its personal health-based LLMs are trained based on health signals from numerous studies and verified through a list of certified coaches and wellness experts. The tech giant has said LLM will form the basis of its future AI health products, but uncertainty continues to plague them.

Google is silent on whether the model will run within the device or via an internet connection. At the same time, the on-device model provides advanced protection for users, while Internet-based systems provide improved interoperability across multiple devices and integration with other emerging technologies.

Various health updates

While Google is teasing users with its new Health LLM, it has rolled out several updates to improve its health offerings, including improved search. The tech giant noted that users can use Google Lens to search for photos of health issues on the body, from benign rashes on the hands to complex problems.

Over the past 12 months, the company has updated its visual results for health searches from high-quality sources “to make symptoms easier to understand.”

Meanwhile, Aloud, YouTube’s AI dubbing feature, has shown success in supporting the dubbing of first aid videos from English to other languages. In the coming weeks, the video streaming service has confirmed it will expand its dubbing to videos about cancer and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

For artificial intelligence (AI) to function properly within the law and succeed in the face of growing challenges, it must integrate enterprise blockchain systems that ensure data input quality and ownership. This helps keep your data safe while ensuring immutability. data.
