Network – Using Bitcoin Core Regtest in the Classroom

I am looking for a way to use Bitcoin Core in Regtest on WiFi networks (for educational purposes in classrooms).

The goal is for students to install Bitcoin Core, enable Regtest, generate coins, and send them to each other.

The problem is that in my tests (on two separate laptops) the nodes don’t find each other. When you want to use console commands Add node I assume I need to use the IPv4 address along with the port number, but I can’t currently find the port number used for each system.

Also, I don’t know what the de conf file should contain for this purpose. I hope someone can shed some light on this. thank you
