Litecoin (LTC) has been doing quite well recently, and with the return of user interest in one of the oldest altcoins, ASIC manufacturers are also trying to attract new customers with improved mining hardware. Here comes the new Innosilicon A6+ LTC Master ASIC miner with PSU. It promises a 2.2 GHS Scrypt hashrate at 2100W of power usage and is available shipping for $3000 USD (or 0.613874 BTC or 45.034 LTC at current prices). InnoSilicon A6+ is a version with improved performance and energy efficiency of InnoSilicon A6 LTC Master released last year. New Scrypt ASIC miner nearly doubles hash rate with only half the increase in power usage. It is interesting to note that Innosilicon is still selling the existing A6 miner without PSU at a hash rate of 1.23 GHS with 1500W power usage at a price of $2000 USD. This is up from the initial price of $6300 USD at the time of announcement. Unfortunately, when you crunch the numbers for a new miner via the LTC mining calculator, while it is profitable, the benefit you would get over your current power costs is not attractive enough to make you want to actually get a miner.

Innosilicon A6+ LTC Master Specifications:
– Hash rate: 2.2Gh/s (+/-5% performance)
