Nibiru Chain, a new $100 million L1 blockchain built by former leaders of Google, IBM, and JP Morgan, has announced its expansion into Asia. This expansion comes alongside the appointment of two industry stalwarts, Yura Nam and Nicholas Lo, who bring a wealth of experience and insight to Nibiru’s Asia growth and Asia business development roles respectively.

Yura Nam, former head of StarkNet Asia, and Nicholas Lo, former APAC growth manager at Yuga Labs, developer of Bored Ape Yacht Club, have joined forces to strengthen Nibiru’s presence across Asia. Jonathan Chang, Nibiru Chain’s Chief Operating Officer, expressed his enthusiasm, highlighting the duo’s expertise and deep understanding of the Asian Web3 ecosystem, a valuable asset to the company’s expansion strategy.

With an ambitious agenda encompassing public relations, marketing initiatives, offline events and community outreach, Nibiru aims to build a strong local presence in key Asian markets, including Korea, Japan, India, Southeast Asia and Chinese-speaking countries. The company has an unwavering commitment to driving adoption and building strategic partnerships to deliver innovative solutions tailored to the diverse needs of businesses and developers in the region.

Nicholas Lo’s appointment highlights Nibiru’s focus on fostering strategic partnerships with leading protocols, ecosystem dApps, gaming companies, financial institutions and media outlets across Asia. Nicholas aims to leverage his extensive network and previous experience to amplify Nibiru’s visibility within the rapidly growing Asian Web3 landscape, targeting sectors such as gaming, DeFi, NFTs and real-world assets (RWA).

Meanwhile, Yura Nam’s proven track record in leading partnerships and fostering community engagement positions her as a key player in Nibiru’s expansion efforts. With a strong background in financial services and a history of organizing influential industry events, Yura brings invaluable insight and connections, especially in her native country of Korea.

The expansion drive extends beyond existing segments as Nibiru seeks to leverage the expertise of its new hires to provide solutions tailored to each Asian region’s unique specialized industries. This holistic approach highlights Nibiru’s commitment to fostering innovation and driving sustainable growth across a variety of sectors.

Along with its expansion efforts, Nibiru continues to expand its Asia team, actively seeking talent to drive community growth initiatives in countries such as India, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

The recent Seoul Society event hosted by Nibiru served as a testament to the company’s commitment to fostering creativity and collaboration within the Asian Web3 community.
