November 2024 Work Progress Report: BTC Payouts for ZEN, ZEC and CKB Updates
Bitcoin payments are now available on Horizen (ZEN).
We are excited to introduce Bitcoin payouts for Horizen (ZEN) miners to 2Miners’ list of cryptocurrencies that support this feature. Now miners can start earning from Bitcoin by simply setting up a BTC wallet address in their mining software. All types of BTC wallet addresses are supported and the pool will automatically detect your BTC address for smooth payouts.

CKB Nerve
The latest update to Nervos CKB (v0.119.0) was released on October 25, 2024, and introduced a new preview chain to test the upcoming hard fork. This allows developers and users to verify changes before they are deployed to the mainnet, increasing the security and stability of the network.
- Bug fixes: Fixed an atomic ordering issue in multithreading, improved script performance, and resolved transaction conflicts.
- improvement: Improved query performance for rich indexer and optimized block filter operations.
Zcash
Zcash version 6.0.0 has been released in preparation for Network Upgrade 6 (NU6), scheduled to be activated on November 23, 2024. This upgrade introduces a new decentralized funding model and a lockbox for future grants. Major updates include block reward adjustments and improved testnet support for miners and developers.
- Postal code update: Implement ZIP 207, ZIP 214, and other consensus rules for decentralized development financing.
- Recommendations for miners: To ensure compatibility with the NU6 upgrade, update to version 6.0.0 or higher.
Block reward reduction
In November, block rewards for several cryptocurrencies were reduced in line with their respective token economics. The summary is as follows:
- Carlsen (KLS): Reduced from 38.24 KLS to 36.15 KLS.
- Zcash (ZEC): Decreased from 2.50ZEC to 1.25ZEC.
- Caspar (KAS): Decreased from 82.40 KAS to 77.78 KAS.
