“This historic settlement is an important step toward ensuring justice is served for victims of Genesis investments,” Attorney General Letitia James said in a statement. “Once again we see the real consequences and detrimental losses that can occur,” she said. “There is a lack of supervision and regulation within the cryptocurrency industry.”
