Pixel Watch 3 introduces AI-based features for better health and convenience

According to blog.google, Google’s latest Pixel Watch 3 is set to revolutionize the wearable tech industry with new AI-powered features aimed at improving users’ health and convenience.

Automatic sleep detection and sleep mode

Pixel Watch 3 uses machine learning to automatically detect when you’re asleep and activate Bedtime mode. This feature turns off notifications and the always-on display, saving battery and providing a distraction-free sleep environment. The same technology also detects when you wake up and seamlessly deactivates Bedtime mode.

Improved execution metrics

With the launch of Pixel Watch 3, Google is delivering the most accurate heart rate tracking for runners. The device uses advanced motion detection combined with machine learning to analyze your running form and provides comprehensive metrics like stride, stride length and height, and ground contact time. Fitbit Premium users will also benefit from AI-driven daily run recommendations tailored to your recovery, previous runs, and personal goals.

Manage your calls from your wrist

Previously available only on Pixel phones, Call Assist technology is now integrated into the Pixel Watch 3. This AI feature can filter out spam calls and hold them for you, giving you a convenient way to manage your calls right from your wrist.

Loss of pulse detection

One of the most important advancements in Pixel Watch 3 is the introduction of pulse loss detection. This groundbreaking feature uses AI-based algorithms to monitor pulse and movement signals and identify when the heart stops beating. In these critical health emergencies, the watch can automatically call emergency services and share an automated message with the user’s location and important context. This feature is expected to be available in various European countries starting in September.

Overall, the new features of the Pixel Watch 3 demonstrate Google’s commitment to leveraging AI to improve users’ health and convenience, and set a new standard for the wearable technology market.
