RAIR Technologies launches RAIRprotocol – an open source infrastructure for enterprise dApp development

RAIR technology The launch was announced today. RAIR Protocol, a completely open source dApp protocol layer. RAIRprotocol allows you to create scalable dApps through an open token licensing model. Smart accounts, marketplace, DRM, and NFT infrastructure all in one place. RAIRprotocol offers out-of-the-box partnerships with Alchemy and Web3Auth, as well as integrations for Filebase, Google Cloud, Hashicorp, MongoDB Atlas, Coingecko, and more. For the first time, over 88 documented API endpoints are available for enterprises to deploy through a new open source token licensing model.

“One of the main reasons Web3 is failing to grow and expand beyond Web2 is because every Web3 startup wants to be Google. To be successful, Web3 must adhere to the fundamental principles of decentralization, transparency, and community engagement,” said Ed Prado, CEO of RAIR Technologies. “Large enterprises can minimize risk and gain strategic advantage by integrating directly with our code.”

The RAIR open source codebase represents four years and more than $3 million in proprietary development costs. Developers have the flexibility to leverage RAIR Technologies and RAIRprotocol together or independently to tailor their approach to their specific project requirements. The six released open source microservices services include:

  • RAIRsolidity: Granular on-chain NFT issuance, royalties, resale, fungible token credits and marketplace logic via ERC2535 upgradable diamond multi-proxy contracts.

  • RAIRnode: A backend for creating modular API endpoints and scalable off-chain cloud infrastructure.

  • RAIRfrontend: Deploying a custom mobile-first NFT marketplace frontend

  • RAIRstream: DRM protected content with full FFmpeg encoder/transcoder

  • RAIRsync: Specifies all smart contract addresses to be synchronized through the Alchemy sync engine.

  • RAIRinfra: Open source complete set of RAIR cloud infrastructure tools, including Kubernetes and Terraform workflows.

To use the RAIR Open Token License, which is inspired by the Apache 2.0 methodology, derivative works must include the NFT License in their NOTICE file. This means that any project based on or derived from RAIR’s open source code must include specific NFT license notices to maintain compliance with the license terms.

RAIRprotocol allows developers to build on-chain, starting from a fully functional box. Building a production-grade dApp takes years and millions of dollars. “Starting with a functioning open source dApp can accelerate the rate at which new developers join Web3 by a factor of 10.” said Garrett Minks, CTO of RAIR Technologies.

RAIRprotocol has been investor-backed since 2019 and has been actively developed as a proprietary enterprise SaaS product. To learn about RAIRprotocol and RAIR Technologies’ full suite of current open source Web3 software, please visit: https://rairprotocol.org/.
