“Indeed, OTC venues played a role in some of the fraud cases last year involving some unlicensed VA trading platforms, misleading investors into focusing their funds on these unlicensed platforms,” the FSTB said. “We therefore believe it is necessary to make OTC venues subject to regulation and we will soon begin a consultation on the proposed regulatory framework.”
