Samsung Galaxy S24 unveils real-time translation for smooth multilingual calls
Samsung Electronics has introduced real-time translation in the Galaxy S24 series, enabling real-time translation in various languages during calls. Compatible with both Galaxy and non-Galaxy phones, this innovative feature is designed to break down language barriers and make communication more accessible and inclusive.
The launch of the Galaxy S24 series marks a huge step forward for Samsung, especially in terms of the innovative real-time translation feature it includes. These technological advancements, driven by artificial intelligence, are intended to change the way we interact by providing real-time translations during phone conversations. This will enable individuals speaking different languages to understand each other without delay.
During the launch of this feature, discussions will be available in 13 languages across 17 areas. There is also a promise that other languages will be added in future updates. Before customers can use real-time translation, they must first enable the option in their smartphone settings. Once this is done, the service can be activated while you are talking using the Samsung Phone app. The effort is to ensure the seamless integration of these technologies to improve connectivity and understanding for people around the world.
The Galaxy S24’s Live Translate feature stands out from other similar features in that it is interoperable across both Galaxy and non-Galaxy phones. This means that users can engage in discussions with almost anyone, regardless of the device they use, and that chats can be translated. It doesn’t matter whether the device in question is an iPhone, Pixel, or any other brand. This feature is universally applicable and provides voice and text translation of your device’s screen. Translation is performed on-device, so it is powered by Samsung’s Gauss-generated artificial intelligence model and proprietary processor. This ensures virtually no latency compared to cloud-based translation services, which often experience delays.
Moreover, there is some speculation that Samsung is planning to include this real-time translation technology in the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. This will enable discussions to be translated face-to-face, further broadening the impact of this technology on communication in everyday life. The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro isn’t expected to launch until later this year, but the excitement around the feature demonstrates Samsung’s commitment to using artificial intelligence to remove language barriers and improve user experience.
