FIRO delisting

As of 10:00 UTC on September 13, 2024, FIRO has officially been delisted from mining pools. This decision follows the FIRO project’s announcement to significantly reduce mining rewards by 5x in block 958655, which occurred around September 16, 2024. The new reward distribution heavily favored masternodes and significantly reduced miners’ stake, which was inconsistent with our support values. Miner community. As a result, we have discontinued support for FIRO.

Kaspa stable mainnet release and WASM SDK v0.15.1

Last month, Kaspa announced a stable mainnet update focused on enhancing mempool functionality, which is critical to adapting to fee market conditions. Important features introduced include:

  • Replace-By-Fee (RBF) allows transaction replacement in the mempool.
  • A fee estimation API based on real-time mempool status for more accurate fee prediction.
  • Updated Mempool eviction policy that prioritizes transactions based on commission rate.

Additional improvements include significantly improved performance of the block template transaction selection algorithm and header processing. These upgrades make Kaspa’s mining more efficient under a variety of network conditions. We recommend upgrading to this version to ensure stability and optimal network support.

Pirin Network hard fork

Pyrin underwent a scheduled hard fork at block 27,037,930, introducing a new mining algorithm, PyrinHashV2. This change required miners to update their mining software to effectively mine PYI. More information about the hard fork countdown can be found in Pyrin Explorer.

Karlsen update and hard fork

Karlsen also underwent a hard fork, introducing KarlsenHashV2, a new mining algorithm aimed at improving network security and efficiency. Several issues have been addressed since the update, including a critical bug fix for transaction rejections that affected pool operators. The latest version includes several important fixes that improve transaction processing and wallet functionality, making it important for miners to update their software to the latest version to avoid potential issues.
