Server – Can I run an instance of bitcoind + lnd on my home machine for public access?

Technically I can get started with Bitcoin and actually already have it running on a small server at home and I understand that lnd works pretty well.

However, I wonder how reliable this is in terms of speeds for users around the world. Do you need real high speeds or can you run on a 260mbit/s down and 90mbit/s up connection with 43ms ping? The connection itself is stable.
