Shiba Inu Lead Congratulates SHIB’s Latest Listing on Japan’s Top Exchange
Coincheck, a leading Japanese cryptocurrency exchange, announced support for Shiba Inu (SHIB).
According to today’s announcement, Coincheck has added SHIB to its list of supported cryptocurrency assets. Coincheck adds support for SHIB, allowing users to buy, sell, send, and receive dog-themed tokens.
Interestingly, the Japanese exchange plans to expand support for SHIB. As per the announcement, SHIB will be added as a payment currency to Coincheck’s NFT marketplace.
Users can use SHIB to pay for a variety of digital collectibles on the Coincheck NFT marketplace. Before trading SHIB on Coincheck, users are advised to update their trading app to get accurate asset prices.

“If the Coincheck app is not the latest version, Shiba Inu prices may not be displayed accurately. Customers using the Coincheck app should update to the latest version before trading.” I have read the notice.
Shiba Inu Reed reacts
The addition of SHIB to Coincheck’s list of supported assets prompted a response from Shytoshi Kusama, lead developer at Shiba Inu.
In response, Kusama took to X (formerly Twitter) to say “Hello” to Coincheck in Japanese, sparking community interest in the development.

Coincheck, launched in 2012, is one of the leading exchanges in Japan and Asia in terms of liquidity and trading volume. Unlike most cryptocurrency exchanges, Coincheck is regulated by the Financial Services Agency of Japan (FSA).
In addition to its OTC trading platform, Coincheck also offers other services such as lending, staking, and a survey service that allows users to earn cryptocurrencies when they take surveys.
With the addition of Shiba Inu, Coincheck now supports 30 crypto assets including BTC, ETH, XRP, MATIC, SAND, and LINK.
Despite supporting 30 cryptocurrencies, CoinMarketCap (CMC) only tracks the 24-hour trading volume of the BTC/JPY pair on Coincheck. According to CMC, the 24-hour trading volume for the BTC/JPY pair is $84.7 million.
Japan Exchange’s continuous support for SHIB
Meanwhile, Shiba Inu has continued to receive tremendous support from Japanese cryptocurrency exchanges.
Japan-based exchanges that have added support for SHIB include SBI VC Trade, OKCoin Japan, BitTrade, BitPoint, and Binance Japan.
These developments suggest a growing preference for SHIB among Japanese cryptocurrency traders. As a result, exchanges are doing everything possible to meet this surge in demand by supporting dog-themed tokens.
