Solidity now available in Visual Studio
Consensys and Microsoft have partnered to bring Solidity, the Ethereum contract programming language, to Microsoft’s visual studio Integrated development environment. ConsenSys and Microsoft have collaborated on this integration to enable developers to quickly build smart contract-based applications for the public Ethereum blockchain, as well as for private and consortium blockchain deployments on Ethereum. Integration takes the form of: Visual Studio Extensions Create project scaffolding with smart contract sample code, generate ABI and binary files for deployment, support context menus for compiling and deploying smart contracts, and automatically generated UI for contract invocation for testing purposes. This is not the first time Microsoft has expressed interest in Ethereum technology. The Ethereum blockchain as a service offering has been launched. Available from November 2015has been expanded to include .
