Sovereign Nature Initiative Launches DOTphin, Polkadot’s Ecological Evolution Avatar at Token 2049 in Singapore

Token 2049 attendees can collect DOTphin proof-of-existence digital avatars and contribute to real-world environmental impact.

The Sovereign Nature Initiative (SNI), in collaboration with Unique Network and WalletConnect, has launched DOTphin, an innovative Polkadot NFT project for Token 2049 attendees in Singapore. Attendees are invited to visit the Polkadot booth (Booth #P34 & 42, Level 5, Marina Bay Sands Convention Center) to collect Proof of Presence (PoP) and embark on a journey with a DOTphin avatar that evolves through user interactions and contributes to real-world ocean conservation efforts.

By participating in the DOTphin experience, Token 2049 attendees will be able to collect PoP to unlock stages of avatar evolution influenced by ecological data from Aquasearch, SNI’s ocean conservation partner. This innovative fusion of blockchain and ecological impact allows users to play a role in preserving marine life while using cutting-edge technology.

To claim PoP or other proof, users can visit the SNI website or scan a QR code encountered at the event. This will take attendees to the claim process where they log into their account. If they do not have an account, they can easily create one using their email address, social profile, or digital wallet. The process is designed for simplicity and efficiency, making it easy to manage and claim proof.

After collecting PoP, the next step is to evolve DOTphin. This can be done by visiting the REAL Evolution page on the REAL Portal. The same login credentials used to claim the Proof are required to link the account. The evolution process begins with acquiring a primordial “orbo”, which acts as a starting point. Once hatched, it marks the beginning of DOTphin’s evolution.

Other collected PoPs and Proofs are utilized to evolve DOTphin. On the REAL Evolution page, select the evolve option and choose the Proof to apply, and DOTphin will develop accordingly. Each Proof affects the characteristics of DOTphin, personalizing and expressing individual participation and achievements. The selected Proofs shape the evolution of DOTphin, creating a unique avatar.

The aesthetic of the DOTphin avatar is heavily influenced by the artistic style seen in Japanese anime. This design decision creates an important and relatable connection between the general public and their digital companions, and promotes the idea of caring for objects that evolve over time. The acclaimed designer behind this art is Daria Smakhtina of Ephemera One.
