Spectral Labs Joins Hugging Face’s ESP Program to Advance the Onchain x Open Source AI Community – Blockchain News, Opinion, TV & Careers

Spectral is pleased to participate in Hugging Face’s expert support program. Spectral is working with deep learning experts at Hugging Face to advance open source models, datasets, and applications for the on-chain agent economy.

How to use Hugging Face

Hugging Face plays an important role throughout the Spectral organization. Through our expert support program, Spectral meets regularly with the Hugging Face team to plan new use cases, formulate data set construction strategies, and develop training strategies.

Earlier this year, Spectral launched Syntax, which consists of a fine-tuned LLM orchestrator that routes queries between multiple tools, including search. castingand open source model Generate Solidity code. Building Syntax required custom datasets for fine-tuning and RAG, the original Solidity evaluation dataset written by elite smart contract developers, and experimentation with a wide range of open and closed source models.

Spectral’s approach to dataset preparation, training, routing, and evaluation has improved significantly during this process, largely due to the help of Hugging Face experts. Regular discussion of Spectral’s approach means the company always receives fair feedback on its decisions and can reassess its strategy as needed. This was important for both the fine tuning and evaluation stages and has now gone through several stages of improvement thanks to the Hugging Face team.

Spectral also uses Hugging Face for inference in production through a dedicated inference endpoint. A fully managed infrastructure allows Spectral to rapidly iterate on new models, easily update containers and hardware configurations, auto-scale based on demand, and keep production costs low.

In the coming months, Spectral is excited to continue to open source our work using on-chain datasets and models that we interact with on-chain through Hugging Face. Users can view Spectral’s training dataset on credit score issues and follow its progress. here.

On-chain agent economy

Syntax pioneers an accessible on-chain agent economy, inviting users to choose the right agent for their specific task. Users can interact with the default agent to generate robust code, or choose one of the specialized agents, each skilled at a unique task. For example, we recently launched Syntax MoonMaker, an agent that launches the memecoin project end-to-end, and will soon launch Syntax-TestMachine, an agent that detects vulnerabilities in smart contracts. Many of those agents are currently in production, and future releases will allow users to create their own agents and monetize them on the Syntax network.

The system relies on a variety of functions available for language models, open source models for tasks such as classification and image creation, a fast and reliable blockchain infrastructure, and a trustless system to execute and verify each step. To address these challenges, we began developing Inferchain, optimized to meet the rapidly growing demand for agents and verifiable inference.

Hugging Face users join the Onchain AI community

The importance of open collaboration cannot be overemphasized. Like many other projects, Spectral wouldn’t exist without the work of open source contributors. Spectral owes a huge debt of gratitude to everyone who makes this work possible and believes that this positive impact should be recognized.

As part of this engagement, Spectral is specifically focusing on users supporting the AI community. Hugging Face’s top individual and small organization contributors, as measured by the number of likes and downloads of their models and datasets, can register to claim their share of SPEC tokens starting the week of May 6. Users can check their eligibility by logging in with their Hugging Face account here. Activity snapshots were taken last month and eligible users do not need an existing wallet to make a claim. These airdrops are designed to recognize users’ important actions and enable new features for next-generation AI tools.

Spectral reviewed all individual contributors from organizations with fewer than 10 members who published models or datasets. From this, Spectral measured the combined likes and download activity for both the model and the dataset. Spectral then identified the users with the most combined activity across both model and dataset publishers (11298 in both categories), resulting in a final list of 20,004 unique hug face users.
