Gaming, e-commerce, and DeFi applications are leveraging Sui’s single social authentication, removing the biggest obstacle blocking web3’s mainstream audience.

Sui, the fast-rising layer 1 blockchain created by the leaders of Facebook’s Diem project, today announced that more than 10 decentralized applications (dApps) in the Sui ecosystem have integrated zkLogin, the first native building block to make Web3 logins: Just log in with your familiar web credentials, like Google or Twitch.

Sui continues to evolve zkLogin, adding additional features such as new providers and multi-signature capabilities. Thanks to the recently added features, it is estimated that thousands of users will now be able to use zkLogin and experience the world’s first one-click cryptocurrency onboarding.

“zkLogin is Sui’s unique foundation for giving users the ability to authenticate to web3 applications using the same social logins developers use elsewhere,” said Kostas Chalkias, co-founder and chief cryptography expert at a16z Mysten Labs. “It’s a utility,” he said. Circle-backed company that created Sui Network. “As we enter the next phase of adoption, the existence of tools like zkLogin will be a prerequisite for engaging mainstream users in the decentralized web.”

Among the wallets that currently support zkLogin are Chrome-based wallets such as Ethos Wallet and Sui Wallet. zkLogin is now also integrated into mobile applications (both Play Store and AppStore) using Suiet and Surf Wallet.

Similarly, web3 gaming experiences like Suilette and Quantum Temple are using zkLogin to provide users with an easier and more intuitive onboarding experience.

Lastly, Sui’s DeFi applications also leverage Sui’s unique strengths. Well-known protocols such as DegenHive, Blockbolt, Aftermath, Navi, and BlueFin integrate technologies to allow users to manage their digital assets and engage in financial activities without the hassle of managing private keys.

“zkLogin is a game-changer for Web3, especially DeFi,” said Zabi Mohebzada, co-founder of Bluefin. “zkLogin allows users to sign up and transact with just a Google account. No wallet required. This allows us to offer the security benefits of decentralized trading to a much broader range of investors.”

Launched in 2023 as one of the first industry solutions for Web2-based authentication for Web3, zkLogin allows users to participate in the Sui ecosystem without having to install a separate wallet or remember and manage seed phrases.
