Tesla Recalls About 700,000 Vehicles in U.S. Over Tire Pressure Monitoring System Issues By Reuters
(Reuters) – Tesla said on Friday it would recall 694,304 vehicles in the United States due to problems with its tire pressure monitoring system.
The issue, which affects some Model 3, Model Y, and Cybertruck vehicles, will be addressed through an over-the-air software update, the company said.
Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) warning lights may not stay on between driving cycles, failing to warn drivers of low tire pressure, the recall approval notice said.
The issue could lead drivers to use vehicles with improperly inflated tires, increasing the risk of crashes, the notice said.
