The Edge Billion Dollar Club 2024 Award Winners

Since 2017, The Edge Singapore Billion Dollar Club (Sponsored by local economic newspaper) The Edge Singapore) has become “one of the most prestigious events” in the region focused on “recognizing and celebrating excellence” among listed companies. Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX: S68 / turn off: to / really /OTCMKTS: SPXCF / SPXCY) The most recent event will be held in early November.

Once again, I realized that these types of awards events are often paid corporate promotional events and therefore do not have much meaning. However, this case is a little different. Recognition of Singapore-listed companies (some winners are headquartered elsewhere or operate regionally or globally but are listed on the Singapore Exchange) They performed better than their peers in their industry. Three key indicators (for more information: methodology here):

  • Delivered highest returns to shareholders over 3 years

  • Awarded the highest after-tax profit growth rate for three years

  • Best Weighted Return on Equity Award over 3 Years

  • Overall Category Winner

You can decide for yourself whether your calculations for these rewards are reasonably accurate…
