Numbers: The U.S. goods trade deficit rose 0.8% to $90.3 billion in November, according to advance estimates from the Commerce Department released Thursday.
Economists surveyed by Econoday expected the deficit to widen to $89.6 billion.
The report also showed wholesale inventories fell 0.2% in November. Luxury retail inventory decreased by 0.1%. Retail inventory excluding automobiles plummeted by 0.8%.
