Transactions – CVT in Practice – How to trustlessly coordinate 1,000 people sharing 1 UTXO? And how many vBytes does such an onboarding Tx require?
There’s been a lot of talk about CVT lately. I believe I understand the basic concept. This means that 1,000 users can share 1 UTXO, and any of those users can withdraw funds to the main chain at any time. Therefore, partial UTXO ownership means that you still have sovereign, non-trustworthy ownership.
It seems good in theory… But who is coordinating these shared UTXOs? Aren’t we going back to reliable solutions to make adjustments honestly? It appears to be more unreliable than Fedimint. ~ after UTXOs are reconciled and mined… but doesn’t reconciliation still require trust?
Does anyone actually have a trust minimization solution for UTXO sharing coordination?
Also… I wonder if anyone has an estimate of how many vBytes would be needed for a Tx with 1,000 users sharing 1 UTXO. Do you have a rough idea or possible scope?
