Trump calls New Hampshire poll ‘fraud’ after she leads Haley by 4 points
“‘Fake New Hampshire poll released on BIRDBRAIN. ‘It’s another scam!’”
The claims came in a social media post from former President Donald Trump, the front-runner in the 2024 Republican presidential primary, on Friday as he reacted to a new poll focused on the key state of New Hampshire.
Trump’s criticism of the American Research Group survey comes after his Republican rival, Nikki Haley, had his best approval rating so far in New Hampshire, with 29% compared to Trump’s 33%. recorded.
The poll gives new momentum to Haley, a former South Carolina governor and former ambassador to the United Nations, whom Trump used the derogatory nickname “birdbrain.” A separate New Hampshire poll earlier this week also had Haley ahead of Trump, but still 15 points behind him, and an Iowa poll showed Haley’s position improving in key states as well.
In a new American Research Group survey, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie got 13%, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis got 6% and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy got 5%.
New Hampshire’s Republican presidential primary is scheduled for January 23, eight days after Iowa’s first caucuses.
