Crypto Mining

US customs are known to have stopped the Bitcoin miners’ shipment in the crackdown.

The US -based encryption miner is delayed in receiving ASIC mining hardware due to the enhanced investigation of shipping in China’s Bitcoin, a dominant supplier of the BTC (Bitcoin) mining league.

As reported by Bloomberg News, industry executives said that the Bitmain machine shipment was maintained as the investigation of US tariffs and border protection (CBP) increased.

The timing was accused of the January blacklist of the US Department of Commerce, Xiamen Sophgo, an AI company that partnered with Bitmain, and was accused of advancing Beijing’s ambition for chip production.

Delay also occurs as the trade tension between the United States and China increases. The latest seizures and imported holds notable escalations in the Antminer S21 and T21 unit detention of last year.

Mounting control pressure

Bitmain, which controls about 90%of the global market in the special bitcoin mining league, has been subordinate to US tariffs since 2018.

On February 1, President Donald Trump announced an additional 10%imposition of China’s imports, making the environment of miners who depended on Bitmain’s machines more complicated.

Nuo XU, the founder of China Digital Mining Association, said:

“American Customs began to randomly inspect almost all of the Bitcoin mining machines, about three months ago.”

He added that police officers are closely investigating the machines, demanding certificates of origin, and delaying shipments.

Sources familiar with this situation said that the Oklahoma -based mining operation, which has 2,000 leagues due to strict customs inspection, has been greatly delayed. Luxor Technology COO Ethan Vera said that ships with bit main labels are one of the shipments for tariffs.

Taras Kuryk, CEO of the main mining hardware broker, Synteq Digital, said:

“Heavy tariffs are essentially expensive to stop generational hardware imports to the United States. There will be a lot of projects that will stop construction because you can’t get hardware. ”

Impact

The new tariffs have already had a measured impact on the US mining industry despite the amazing growth over the last six months.

According to CBP data compiled by Theminermag, the total weight of imported bitcoin mining leagues and accessories fell 65% from January 2025. The lack of new equipment at a competitive price can weaken the long -term survival of a US mining company.

According to CEO SAM Tabar, Bit Digital, headquartered in New York, recently experienced a two -week delay with 700 mining machines. But others are facing steep challenges.

Competition between China -based Microbt and California’s Auradine is equipped with regulatory pressure threatens Bitmain’s rule.

Vera warned:

“I expect all companies that buy Bitmain’s machines will be in danger, including public companies.”

To deal with the current situation, Bitmain recently started a domestic production line in the United States and responded to the issue of imports of machines. In the new US facility, the launch of the Antminer S21 Pro is expected to greatly increase efficiency and reduce operational uncertainty.
