Wall Street: Wall Street starts off 2024 cautiously, on a bearish note.

Wall Street’s main indexes fell at the open on Tuesday as Apple shares fell on broker downgrades to start 2024 and Treasury yields rose as investor expectations of interest rate cuts this year were tempered.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average recorded 37,566.22, down 123.32 points (0.33%) at the time of opening. The S&P 500 index opened at 4,745.20, down 24.63 points (0.52%), and the Nasdaq Composite Index closed at 14,873.70, down 137.65 points (0.92%).
