Wallet Recovery – I formatted the hard drive containing Bitcoin Core.
First timer here.
…I downloaded Bitcoin Core from a few weeks ago until last week and it still wasn’t syncing so I started over from scratch…I was waiting for the original BTC CORE to sync (I missed the part in the install where it stated it needed 220) + GB of free space)…I had to format my BOOT SSD (256GB..which is also where I originally intended to store my BTC CORE)…so it took too long and I bought a 1TB Samsung Evo. I’m wondering if my BTC address is the same (since I’ve never actually synced it to a server and I don’t use the same SSD where my BTC CORE is stored. However, it’s the same SSD that Windows boots from, but I had to reinstall Windows.
You have now downloaded BTC CORE to your new SSD and it is synced. Unfortunately I can’t find my BTC and I don’t have any funds when using block explorer (I checked BE last week and my BTC was there… but pending/waiting for sync… not there now)
…Has my BTC address changed? Will it sync with previous versions so I can receive funds?
hope someone can help
